Golf Holidays in New Zealand
Unlike many northern hemisphere countries, golf is played all year round in New Zealand with the major club competition season generally running from March to November to coincide with peak times of grass growth. While all clubs water their greens in summer many of the smaller clubs don't have fairway irrigation. Consequently, hard and dry conditions during hot summer months can see golfers hitting career best drives of over 300 yards! These courses are at their best during Spring and early Summer.

When you consider the variety of natural attractions available - snow-capped mountains, crystal clear lakes & rivers, glaciers, tropical sands, geothermal geysers and mudpools, and all the activities they involve - don't travel the world, they're all here in New Zealand.

Above all else, New Zealand prides itself on having the friendliest people you could hope to find.

    Queenstown

Shotover Jet Boating    Comparable in size and or shape to Great Britain, Colorado or Japan, New Zealand has a population of only 4 million - making it one of the world's least crowded countries. It is a haven for those seeking peace, relaxation and rejuvenation as well as a playground for thrill seekers and adventurers.

New Zealand offers a variety of stunning golf courses amidst spectacularly beautiful landscapes including vast mountain chains, steaming volcanoes, sweeping coastlines, fiords and lush rainforests. With a population of less than 4 million, there is a course for every 10,000 people. This exceptional destination is increasingly seen as an attractive alternative to the more traditional destinations such as Scotland and Ireland.    Kauri Cliffs

Hot Air Ballooning    A temperate climate with relatively small seasonal variation makes New Zealand an ideal year-round golf holiday destination. Twelve hours ahead of GMT and in summer it uses ‘daylight saving’, with clocks put forward one hour to GMT+13. Daylight saving begins on the last Sunday in September and ends on the first Sunday of the following April, when clocks are put back to GMT+12.

Driving
Driving in New Zealand is easy, with an excellent network of well-maintained roads and easy-to-follow scenic drives. Outside of city locations, you’ll find little traffic congestionand few busy motorways. Another bonus is that they drive on the left, same as in the UK.

Speed limits are 100km per hour (60 mph) on the open road and 50 km perhour (30 mph) in urban areas, and distances are measuredin kilometres.

This is your holiday, so all you need to do is inform Golf Holidays Worldwide of your requirements and we will organise your accommodation, transfers or self-drive, activities and tee-times, leaving your fee to concentrate on your game during your golf holiday in New Zealand.
