 Loch Lomond

Loch Lomond presents the perfect beginning, end or base for your golf holiday in Scotland. Set amidst one of Scotland's ”most idyllic and unspoilt areas, with the largest” expanse of fresh water in Britain and the backdrop of the mountains looming beyond. It is also ideally situated for touring within Scotland with The Highlands to the north of the Loch, the West Coast and Islands a short drive away and Central Scotland, Glasgow and Edinburgh to the east.

Loch Lomond is possibly the world’s most famous Loch, measuring 24 miles long and 5 miles wide, with its deepest point being some 600 feet. Much has been written about Loch Lomond both in song and verse. There are approximately 38 islands, some of which are inhabited. The most significant island is Inchmurrin where lie the ruins of Lennox Castle, Inchcaillach and the burial ground of the McGregor Clan.

Nature lovers can enjoy over 200 species of birds and over 25 percent of Britain's wild plants have been recorded in the area. There are a selection of eateries and picnic spots as well as Loch cruises available (arranged locally).

This is your holiday, so all you need to do is inform Golf Holidays Worldwide of your requirements and we will organise your accommodation, transfers or self-drive, activities and tee-times, leaving your fee to concentrate on your game.
